Meet Alexis
Beautiful homes begin by paying close attention
to the people who live inside them.
It Starts with the People
I've always been fascinated by people.
Not just by the homes they live in, but by the reasons they make the choices they do.
What they value.
What they miss from the home they grew up in.
The routines they protect without even realizing it.
The things they quietly wish were different.
The conversations during a consultation are almost never just about furniture or finishes.
They're about priorities.
Memories.
Frustrations.
Dreams that have been sitting on the back burner for years.
Sometimes they're about two people who love each other deeply but imagine home in completely different ways.
One wants calm.
The other wants energy.
One values efficiency.
The other values comfort.
Neither is wrong.
Part of what I love most about this work is discovering that there is almost always a thoughtful solution that honors both.
I've learned that the best design decisions rarely begin with style.
They begin with understanding.
Long before I thought of myself as a designer, I was simply curious about people.
Design became the way I put that curiosity to work.

I founded Nink Design Studio because I believe beautiful homes begin long before the furniture, paint colors, or finishing touches.
They begin by understanding the people who will live there.
Whether we're planning a new home, reimagining a single room, or helping untangle hundreds of design decisions, my goal is always the same: to create spaces that feel thoughtful, personal, and genuinely supportive of the people living in them.
I've never been interested in creating homes that simply look beautiful.
I'm interested in understanding the people who will use them, solving the things that aren't working, and creating something that feels both beautiful and unmistakably theirs.
Thoughtful design. Real life. Lasting impact.
What I Believe
Every project is different.
Every family is different.
Every home is different.
The process shouldn't begin with trends.
It should begin with questions.
Questions about how you actually live.
What matters most to you.
What's working beautifully.
And what isn't.
Those conversations shape every recommendation that follows.
Beautiful homes begin with people.
Everything else is simply the response.

Clarity is more valuable than endless choice.
By the time I present options, I've already done the sorting. My role isn't to overwhelm you with possibilities. It's to help you confidently choose from the right ones.
Good design removes friction.
The best spaces make everyday life easier. They don't ask you to adapt to them. They adapt to you.
A home should feel like the people who live there.
Not like a trend.
Not like a showroom.
Like you.
How I Work
Design projects often feel overwhelming long before construction ever begins.
There are hundreds of decisions to make, endless inspiration online, and a feeling that you're supposed to have all the answers before you even start.
You don't.
My job isn't to have you arrive with all the answers. It's to help you ask the right questions.

That's what I'm here for.
Every project begins with a conversation.
Then an in-home consultation, where I get to know your space, your routines, your priorities, and what you hope your home will become.
From there, I'll help you understand what's worth changing, what's already working beautifully, and where thoughtful decisions will have the greatest impact.
Sometimes that leads to a single consultation and a clear plan you can confidently move forward with.
Other times it becomes a collaborative design process, from the earliest ideas through the final installation.
Either way, my role is the same:
To bring clarity, confidence, and thoughtful guidance to every decision along the way.
Designed around the way you actually live.
